Final preparations are underway for the launch of the second annual Big Africa Gaming Summit. The summit is designed as an opportunity to discuss all aspects of the gaming industry in Africa and to explore developments, challenges and opportunities that exist.
The Big Africa Gaming Summit launch will take place at the Emperor's Palace Hotel, Casino and Conference Center, known as the Palace of Dreams, in Johannesburg, South Africa and will run from October 6th - 8th, 2014.
The Three Day Conference
Sponsored by Goldbet and Betconstruct, the three day program includes speakers, presentations and workshops on the areas of sports betting, online lottery and igaming in the African gaming industry. The keynote address will be presented by Professor Linda de Vries, Chairperson of the National Gambling Board & School of Business and Finance at the University of the Western Cape in South Africa. She will speak on the challenges and opportunities in the industry, particularly with regards to legislation.
This will be followed by a talk by the Honorable Minister Geordin Hill-Lewis from the Department of Trade and Industry on the government's outlook on legislation of online gambling in South Africa. Many other highly respected speakers will present on crucial topics facing the market.
Other topics for discussion will include converting social casino gaming to igaming, integration of online gaming into a current web-based property; the advantages and disadvantages of online lotteries; insights into the mobile industry; data analytics and much more.
The workshops will be held on Day 3, Wednesday, October 8 and will focus on creating big data consumers in gaming and establishing successful online gaming partnerships with classes and real life examples run by a qualified facilitator.
The summit will be attended by representatives of government and regulatory bodies, casino operators, sports betting operators, gaming equipment developers and suppliers and other leaders in the industry.

The event is a prime opportunity for networking within the industry with CEOs, COOs, CTOs, CIOs, GMs, MDs and senior directors from a diverse number of gambling-related businesses expected to attend. With networking breaks and a cocktail reception, there will be plenty of time to mingle.
