Zimbabwe has been introduced to online and mobile gaming via an app from Hammer and Tongues Holdings lottery gaming provider, Africalotto. The Android application is known as The Africalotto Mobile App and it will offer mobile and online gaming to the fast growing Zimbabwean market.

The new gaming app in Zimbabwe is the first of its kind in the African country and it will allow registered users to place bets on numerous lottery games available in the Africalotto retail network, including Fast Lotto, Lucky Numbers and Bonus Lotto.

Multiple Tabs for Easy Gaming

The Africalotto Mobile App is well-set out for easy navigation and convenient betting. It features ten tabs with player options, including Purchasing, Scratch Game, Find a Retailer, My Account, Reports, Change a Password, Invite a Friend and Results Report.

It also offers the ability to play three different games including Fast Lotto, Lucky Numbers and Bonus Lotto. Users must be registered to be able to place bets via the app. Accounts can be credited directly via the mobile app with a number of payment methods available or via one of the Africalotto outlets.

Through the Reports tab, users can keep track of their betting history, including transactions, ticket purchases, withdrawals or account balance. The Results Report offers an e-solution for lotto results which is a useful added feature of this app.

Gaming Expanding in Zimbabwe

Zimbabwe is known to be a growing gaming market and this was already found to be the case as far back as 2011 when the mobile Internet browser firm, Opera, ranked Zimbabwe as the fastest growing gambling market in Africa.

Up until now there have been no mobile gaming apps released by any of the local lottery and gaming houses, despite the indications that the market is open to it. This app has provided an avenue for lottery gaming that has been missing and it is expected to be very popular.

Africalotto was registered in November 2008 and it has developed a nationwide lottery system, providing convenient ways for people around the country to participate in lottery games.

The app is currently available on any mobile device that runs on Android Ginger Bread or later versions. It can be download via the Africalotto website or with the QR code that is available on advertisements.

Africalotto has announced that an iOS and Windows app version are currently under development and they hope to release them soon.
