Gaming technology solutions provider, BetTech Gaming is expanding its operations thanks to the issuing of a National Manufacturers License. Having launched internationally in February 2013, this is a significant step forward for the Cape Town-based company.
In addition, BetTech has appointed Mike Shea who will hold the title of Head of Trading for the company. Shea has moved to BetTech from international operator, Sportingbet.
New License Broadens Partnership Opportunities
The new National Manufacturers License will broaden the opportunities for BetTech Gaming in South Africa. The license allows them to partner with operators across South Africa, which significantly expands the number of domestic partnerships they can enter into.
In the past, BetTech was only able to partner with operators that were regulated in the Western Cape, where they were headquartered, or with partners from outside South Africa. With this new license, they will be able to work with customers who are based in provinces where they are regulated by other gambling boards.
”From our international launch to prestigious awards nominations and client wins – 2022 has already been a landmark year for BetTech Gaming,” announced Mark Bosman, Co-founder and International CEO of BetTech Gaming.
“Now we are really taking things to the next level. The National Manufacturers License opens many doors domestically for brands looking to launch or outsource a sportsbook, while the appointment of Mike, who brings with him a wealth of knowledge and skills, underlines our commitment to quality.”
New Head of Trading
Mike Shea has a vast knowledge of the sports betting world having moved to BetTech from Sportingbet. He previously held positions at Hollywood Sports Book and World Betting Exchange.
An important role that Shea will play will be to help develop BetTech Sports, their flagship product. BetTech offers services to the South African sports and horse racing betting market with local and international live and pre-match markets. They offer virtual wagering, as well as online and mobile casino games.
Shea will also be creating and managing trading strategies for customers of the Fully Managed Solution (FMS) which was recently released by BetTech. The FMS is a turnkey solution that should allow partners to launch their sportsbook within one month.
”My career in betting and gaming has taken me from South Africa to the UK and the Channel Islands,” commented Shea. “Now I am very excited to be back home and part of the BetTech team that is revolutionizing the industry.”
